Wynwood, referred to as Miami’s creative and cultural hub, is recognized globally as a premier destination for art, fashion, innovation,and creative enterprises. It is home to art galleries, retail stores, antique shops, bars, artisanal eateries and one of the largest open-air street-art installations in the world. It was once an industrial district and home to Caribbean immigrants, however, after a decade of economic depression, property owner’s in the early 2000s decided to transform it into a trendy, innovative neighborhood that offers a blend of creativity and urban living. In terms of housing options, Wynwood features modern lofts and condos, primarily offering boutique, low-rise condos, typically 8-10 stories high. Newer, larger modern rental buildings are being recently added to the neighborhood to cater to the needs of those working at the many VC’s now calling Wynwood their home. It is one of Miami’s most walkable neighborhoods, with boutiques, dining, and galleries all within close proximity to residences.
